Smart meters are an important step towards modernizing the energy infrastructure and improving the efficiency of electricity distribution.Installing smart meters helps utilities and consumers stepping into more efficient energy consumption and cost savings. NEUC launched in November 2021 the installation of smart meters in the following locations: Hazmieh (Baabda), Sibline (Wadi Zeini), Hammana (Bhamdoun), Aynab & Basateen (Aley) and Bakaata (Beitdine).
